Liz Lake Associates is a long established, independent landscape practice embracing landscape design, landscape planning, masterplanning and urban design. We operate throughout the UK from offices in Stansted, Bristol and Nottingham.

Landscape Architect

Permanent, Full Time Post.

Location – Bristol (Central) and Stansted Office 

 

We are looking for a Chartered Landscape Architect with 2 to 3 years post-chartership experience to join our design and planning team. Candidates must have experience of working on a variety of projects both large and small scale, including detailed planning submissions and landscape and visual assessments. 

You must have effective communication and influencing skills and be able to work as part of an integrated team to meet the expectations of our many varied clients. The Practice has a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects for private and public sector clients.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • design flair;
  • experience in running medium to large-scale projects;
  • fluent in AutoCAD and Adobe packages;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • a thorough understanding of the U.K. planning system and preparation of schemes for planning applications;
  • experience of tender procedures, and site supervision;
  • excellent hard and soft landscape detailing;
  • attending client, design and public consultation meetings; and,
  • thorough report writing skills – previous experience of writing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA’s), Design Statements and Landscape Management Plans is desirable.
  • Car owner desirable – UK driving licence.

Landscape Graduate

Permanent, Full Time Post.

Location – Bristol (Central) and Stansted Office

 

We are looking for creative, hard-working landscape graduates or recently qualified landscape architects to join our busy team. You will need to demonstrate good presentational skills, sound technical and analytical skills and show a keen eye for detail and design; good plant knowledge is desirable.

Our portfolio is exciting and diverse, exposing our graduates to a range of sectors and projects offering a great opportunity for personal development.

The candidate should have:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing skills to assist with the production of landscape plans and undertaking research for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) for a wide range of public and private sector projects.
  • Good graphic skills and competence in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
  • Experience of Vectorworks software desirable.
  • Previous work experience within a landscape office will be of benefit.
