Liz Lake Associates are working with Blueprint Regeneration, Urban Designer URBED and Architect Marsh Grochowski to prepare landscape and public realm proposals for this major waterside renaissance scheme. The project is located within Nottingham Waterside, an area widely acknowledged as one of Nottingham’s greatest but least developed assets. Stretching from Trent Bridge to Colwick Park and bounded by the river Trent, the area is currently the focus of far reaching redevelopment proposals. The project will provide a mix of contemporary, high quality, low energy homes forming a new kind of sustainable neighbourhood. There will be tall elegant houses fronting pedestrian friendly streets and attractive green spaces forming a distinct identity and a strong sense of place reinforced by open views over the River Trent. The heritage of the site will be expressed in the design of the architecture and public realm to further reinforce the site’s character.
We have been collaborating with the project team and liaising with residents of phase 1 to ensure that our work contributes to creating a strong and robust community. Liaising with the project ecologist has also enabled us to introduce habitats and native species which are appropriate to the site in to deliver significant biodiversity gains.
