Liz Lake Associates was asked to produce a Landscape Visual Appraisal and Landscape Strategy Plan for the development of two buildings to house 16 residential units adjacent to a conservation area within the urban setting of west Cambridge.
The LVA included a desk top study and site visits to determine the Site’s context and it’s relation to the proposed development. This involved reviewing the Local Plan and key character areas at various scales with a particular focus on the adjacent conservation area.
The Landscape Strategy plan took into account comments from a team of consultants and council officers. Visualisations were produced to demonstrate how the suggested mitigation would be applied in order to minimise the impact of the development on the public space.
Our work was submitted to support the planning application for the development. A decision on the application is pending.
