Liz Lake Associates has extensive experience in community landscape architecture development. Coordinating with the refurbishment works to the building, we reviewed the landscaped surrounds in order to understand fully the project requirements and possibilities. Following this stage, our works included the preparation of detailed landscape and planting plans for planning approval and the supervision of works on site. Over-mature planting was removed and replaced, additional trees planted and the internal garden courtyard was replanted to form a central feature and pleasant garden for the enjoyment of patients and staff.

Incorporating the extensive community landscape development designed by Liz Lake Associates, the refurbished facility was fully operational in March 2012 welcoming patients to the Abbey Field and Portland Road Medical Centres. The upgraded surgery facilities including extended car parking areas, Access for All paths in landscaped surroundings provide a modern healthcare facility capable of servicing current and future patients.
