Grove Park

Liz Lake Associates were appointed to develop a high quality, contemporary garden design for a new build house in Wanstead. A brief was carefully developed with the client in order to design a scheme suiting the client’s needs. Working closely with T-Space architects, a scheme was developed that created a linked transition between house and garden.

The design incorporated a large, porcelain tile patio, with a number of steps and a path leading down to the end of the garden. This was flanked by a lawn on one side and a contemporary rill on the other. A decked area was proposed to the rear of the garden connecting to an exercise studio. Planting within the scheme was designed to provide a low maintenance garden with large swathes of colour. Flowering trees were specified to create interest, with a row of pleached, evergreen Holm Oaks specified to the rear to provide screening.

The project was situated within a Conservation Area, so Liz Lake Associates were involved in preparing and applying for the removal of a number of existing, overgrown Leylandii trees to the gardens rear.

Overall, the proposals have provided a high quality scheme that suits the clients requirements and expectations.
