NEW SQUARE

Liz Lake Associates were appointed to develop the landscape scheme to discharge planning conditions for this scheme off New Square, Cambridge.  The site is based upon the existing Grade II listed building owned by Jesus College, with additional low level dwellings implemented within the courtyard itself.

The courtyard design provides a soft communal area to complement the existing and proposed buildings, with curved forms contrasting with the architecture. A central specimen tree has been implemented to provide a focal point amongst the central courtyard space.

The site obtained planning permission in early 2017 and has since been completed.
