Barton Road

Working alongside PIP Architecture, Liz Lake Associates were appointed to discharge planning conditions and provide a design for this private house. The design was developed through various meetings and presentation of sketch proposals with the clients. This was then translated into a completed design for tender and construction. 

The design provides traditional, formal elements whilst introducing more contemporary forms and features. The formality designed into the garden was dissipated towards the end of the garden, providing greater variety.

Planting was carefully selected to suit the conditions and the aesthetics requested by the client. A prairie style palette was utilised with swathes of herbaceous and grass planting, while evergreen topiary specimens were specified to provide structure and introduce elements of formality.
