Liz Lake Associates was asked to produce a Landscape Visual Appraisal, Landscape Strategy and detailed proposals for the redevelopment of two buildings into house 16 residential units. The site has a number of mature, evergreen trees and is adjacent to a conservation area within the urban setting of west Cambridge.

The LVA included a desktop study and site visits to determine the Site’s context and it’s relation to the proposed development. This involved reviewing the Local Plan and key character areas at various scales with a particular focus on the adjacent conservation area. The landscape design considered comments from a team of consultants and council officers, whilst trying to create a high quality, liveable space that places the scheme within its context. Visualisations were produced to demonstrate how the suggested mitigation would be applied in order to minimise the impact of the development on the public space. Our work was submitted to support the planning application for the development. Work is currently progressing on-site.
