Jessop Park
Jessop Park is an exciting housing scheme development on a large brownfield site in south Bristol.
The site will be implemented over two phases with the first phase of housing being completed in 2020. The masterplan comprises a mix of 350 new houses and apartments with 30% of these being offered as affordable homes.

LLA were appointed by Keepmoat Homes, the Housing Developer, in partnership with Live West, the Housing Association, to take forward the detailed landscape design proposals for the whole site, working with the Design Code approved under the outline consent. The landscape design work included close liaison with Urban Designers at Bristol City Council during detailed design stages and producing material for Public Consultation with local people.
The proposals feature three main landscaped areas; a new central public Pollinator Park providing a habitat for wildlife and community use, Living Streets with trees and planting between the new housing and a Wildlife Corridor with attenuation swales and winding paths leading to adjacent green spaces and natural play areas.
The scheme provides a diverse range of planting for ecological mitigation and biodiversity enhancements to encourage, bats, bees, birds and other insects and mammals. The detailed mixes include a high proportion of native species and an area of fruit orchard for the benefit of the new community residents.
