Resolution to Grant full planning permission has been secured for the highly controversial mixed use scheme on the edge of the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, Bristol. The former petrol filling station site located on the River Avon comprises a 17 storey tower with two smaller blocks, forming 152 residential properties and commercial ground floor space. The proposals open the site onto the riverside and provide pedestrian links to the existing and highly successful adjacent Paintworks Development.
LLA produced the detailed Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment and Design Guidance for the scheme, working closely with Architect Fielden Clegg Bradley. The project underwent Design Review Panel and intense scrutiny from Bristol City Council to ensure that this sensitive location is developed in-keeping with the dynamic character of this rapidly changing area of Bristol Centre.
