Brief
Cheverells is a listed property that was used as a location for the film The Hours with Nicole Kidman. Our client's objective was to split the main house into two large apartments with the former service wings and stables as smaller units. Some areas of new build needed to be accommodated as well as garages and parking.

Approach
The initial site planning required a sensitive approach that would satisfy the requirements of the local authority, English Heritage, the Garden History Society and our client. Our overall landscape design strategy was to conserve and enhance the existing grounds while creating a practical shared environment for residents.

Outcome
A detailed management plan was prepared for the extensive grounds, including a walled garden, to secure the future of the landscape.
