Nature Conservation

Nature Conservation is an integral part of the landscape design process. Drawing on our experience in this field, we offer comprehensive guidance to help clients comply with legislation. We regularly liaise and negotiate with authorities to provide environmentally sustainable solutions for habitat creation and management.

Essential to the process is the initial Joint Nature Conservation Committee Phase 1 Survey which provides target notes identifying where more detailed survey is required. This informs the design solution and the landscape and biodiversity strategies for the site. We also help clients to contribute to local and national Biodiversity Action Plan objectives and to gain credits in the BREEAM criteria for sustainability in construction.

Approach

We are Landscape Architects and our approach is an holistic one. From the outset we come with a fresh vision, take a broad view to assess the context and challenges, look for local inspiration, propose creative solutions and devise a strategic approach. At all times we are mindful of the financial, and sometimes also the emotional, investment of the client.
