Brief
With a vision to enlarge and upgrade this existing stud farm, the owner invited Liz Lake Associates to form part of a multi-disciplinary design team to see the scheme from the initial planning application and detailed design through to implementation. A landscape management scheme was also requested.

Approach
This extensive project included returning 250 hectares of former arable land to pasture, laid out as paddocks, and the planting of some 30 hectares of woodland shelter belts, 11 kilometres of native hedging and the creation of tree-lined roads.

Outcome
Liz Lake Associates was involved in all aspects of the Newsells Park Stud project, from the initial layout of the paddocks to the design of individual gardens. At every stage we worked closely with the stud to ensure that the needs of staff and horses were always understood and fulfilled, and to make sure that the final product would be realised as an outstanding and high-quality stud landscape.
