Essex & Suffolk Water

Client: Essex and Suffolk Water
Location: Essex

Brief
As part of its plans to expand and upgrade its premises, the utility company Essex and Suffolk Water asked us to improve a facility in Essex. The brief was to provide access for visitors and improve the visual quality and nature conservation value of the site.

Approach
Our development strategy included ecological, visual and condition surveys of all spaces and structures on the site, and the assessment of current circulation and future requirements.

Outcome
Our recommendations have been incorporated into a landscape master plan. We monitored the implementation of this project and continued to do so for a three-year period to ensure the successful establishment of the planting. During this time, we introduced further phases of work, including the creation of wetland areas for nature conservation.

Approach

We are Landscape Architects and our approach is an holistic one. From the outset we come with a fresh vision, take a broad view to assess the context and challenges, look for local inspiration, propose creative solutions and devise a strategic approach. At all times we are mindful of the financial, and sometimes also the emotional, investment of the client.
