Outcome
Using a series of curved, sculptural retaining walls we created useable areas of lawn, decking and planting beds. At the same time we reclaimed land to expand the existing patio and driveway. A subtle lighting scheme was introduced to enhance the planting in the evenings and improve safety when moving between the garden elements. Because of the proximity to the coast, all planting was salt and wind tolerant and we were able to maintain the views of the estuary while screening off neighbouring properties. The finished scheme has delivered all the client's requirements on a tricky site and has added greatly to the property’s value.
