Location: West Heath, Kent

Brief
Situated within the rolling hills of the Kent countryside, this important learning facility is a registered charity and has had an interesting history. It was acquired in August 1998 and was once attended by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The school is now an important learning resource for children with learning disabilities or who require specialist learning. Liz Lake Associates' brief was to help the school to rationalise parking provision, re-orientate access and generally improve the first impressions for visitors and parents.

Approach
We analysed the way the site was currently used for parking and arrival at the site and then prepared proposals that rationalised routes and made best use of space for parking and access.

Outcome
The scheme was submitted for planning with work expected to start on site when permission is hopefully granted.
