Recognised for her inspiring and creative work, Dr Liz Lake has completed a huge variety of projects, large and small, for the public and private sectors. She has established her reputation over more than four decades. Her particular interests include landscape planning, landscape and visual impact assessment, and historic landscapes. Liz also acts as an expert witness and project manager.
Liz is a chartered landscape architect and Fellow of the Landscape Institute. In 2009 she was awarded an honorary doctorate by Essex University for her contribution to the profession. She has been chair of the Landscape Institute East of England branch and the Landscape Design Trust. Liz is currently chair of the Landscape Institute Project Review Group for the accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Landscape Architecture courses at Writtle School of Design. She has been a judge for Cambridge City Council for projects in the public realm and regularly lectures on landscape-related topics.
