Albany Gardens Pocket Park

With its curving central path, seating areas and visual harmony created by our tree and planting combinations, this pocket park is conceived as a calm oasis for the whole community. Forming the focal point of a development of 211 town houses and apartments by Barratt Eastern Counties, the design is part of a walkable neighbourhood integrating the new scheme into its wider urban context. The park won the 2005 Silver Gilt Award for the Best Landscaped Urban Development of the Daily Express New Homes and Gardens Awards. Furthermore, the park won another prestigious national award in 2007, winning the Urban Green Space category of the Local Government News Street Design Award.
