Brief

Our client Barratt North London already had a planning permission of 530 new houses when LiZLaKe were appointed to the consultant team. Our brief was to redesign the key public realm open space areas as part of a new uplift planning application for 750 dwellings.

Approach

We reviewed the landscape design for the approved 530 dwellings scheme and looked at how it could be re-designed in a more compelling way to justify the uplift of units for the Site. Key to this approach was a redesign of the central focal fountain Circus Open Space which will provide an inclusive space for residents and the public.

Outcome

This uplift planning application was successful.
