Michelle is an associate with particular responsibility for landscape planning work. She is an experienced expert witness who has prepared landscape and visual evidence for appeal, local plan,and call-in inquiries. She has been praised for the thoroughness of her evidence, the clarity of her arguments and her composure under cross-examination. Her expert witness work over the last year has included giving evidence on behalf of Daventry District Council at a conjoined inquiry in relation to three sites proposed for urban extensions and for Derbyshire Dales District Council in relation to wind turbine development. Michelle has developed a particular expertise in the assessment of wind energy projects.
Michelle was responsible for co-writing the Practice Methodology on landscape and visual impact assessment and for preparing and delivering training seminars on this subject. She has prepared assessments both as part of a full Environmental Impact Assessment and as stand alone reports.
