Landscape Architect
MBA (Hons) MALA (Hons)
Julia is a Landscape Architect whose particular interests are in historic schemes and Conservation Management Plans. She has worked on a number of these since she has been with the practice including Bentley Priory in Stanmore, Highclere Park in Hampshire, St Osyth Priory in Essex, Weald Country Park in Brentwood and St Botolph’s Priory in Colchester.
She likes to take every opportunity to visit gardens with the local branch of the Landscape Institute, as a member of Cambridgeshire Gardens Trust and the National Trust, or just with friends; which provides the inspiration for new ideas or the opportunity to re-invent old ideas in a new way!
In her spare time she enjoys water colour painting and working in her own garden.
Hobbies
I like to give a little back to the community and regularly do voluntary work including working at Anglesey Abbey about once a month.
My Favorite Garden(s)
I love the Gertrude Jekyll planting at Hestercombe and the Claude Monet planting at Giverny. I like the atmosphere of the ‘White Garden’ at Sissinghurst and formality and ingenuity of Villa d’Este in Italy.
