Liz was awarded an honourary doctorate degree by Writtle College, of the University of Essex. She received her award during the Writtle School of Design graduation ceremony at Chelmsford Cathedral, on Thursday 10 September.
Liz commented: "I would like to thank the college for recognising my achievements as a landscape architect. Having lived in Essex for most of my life it feels very special to be honoured by my local college.
"It has been a privilege to be part of the growth of the landscape architecture courses at Writtle, especially as it is acquiring a national and international reputation."
Writtle College is now an accredited landscape architecture institution, which the Writtle School of Design secured in just three years. Head of the School of Design, Jeff Logsdon, said: "Liz has been engaged in the postgraduate programme since the beginning and has always provided insightful direction and support for the college and its students. We look forward to continued collaboration with her at this level."
